11. Safety First:
• Players should be aware of how to use equipment safely and correctly. It is advisable for all players to wear a mouth guard (that has preferably been always custom fitted) and wear comfortable footwear designed for cricket. Protective equipment should be worn by wicket-keepers and batsman whilst playing and including training. Such equipment can consist of a helmet with face guard, body padding, forearm pads, leg pads, gloves and an abdominal protector. A helmet and faceguard should also be considered when fielding in close. The faceguard should be appropriately adjusted to ensure the ball cannot fit between the guard and the peak of the helmet.
12. Positive Attitude:
• Approach the game with enthusiasm, positivity, and a genuine love for cricket.
• Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.
13. Grading for Skill Development and Enjoyment:
• A comprehensive skills-based grading and team selection process has been meticulously carried out to ensure that every member is placed in a competition that aligns with their cricketing abilities and stage of development. This approach guarantees that each member derives maximum enjoyment from their cricketing experience while simultaneously fostering their growth as cricketers. The grading process has been thoughtfully designed to create an environment that nurtures skill enhancement and personal development.
14. Club's Right to Optimal Team Placement:
• The club's management reserves the right to adjust a player's grade or team assignment in the best interest of the club. While it is advisable that club management may seek input from respective team managers, coordinators, coaches, or team captains during this process, such consultation is not mandatory. Ultimately, decisions made by club management are considered final and are undertaken to ensure the club's overall welfare.
15. Seasonal Grading Policy:
• Truganina United Cricket Club adheres to a policy of grading players at the commencement of each season. This practice guarantees that every member has the opportunity to partake in cricket at the highest attainable level, contingent upon their preference. Given that players evolve at varying rates, the club encourages players and their parents to place less emphasis on the specific team they are placed in and instead focus on their evolution as cricketers, as well as the collective benefit of the team.
By implementing these principles, Truganina United Cricket Club aims to provide a conducive and progressive cricketing environment that fosters skill development, teamwork, and the holistic growth of its members.

• Remember, children are involved in cricket for their enjoyment, not yours.
